Job Summary

The Merchandiser will be responsible for working with all West Loop Market locations to make sure that the sales floor shelves provide prominent attention. The merchandiser will be responsible observing inventory levels, prompting store management to reorder when levels appear low, and arranging for return and credit for damaged products.

Job Responsibilities and Duties

• Plan and develop merchandising strategies that balance customers’ expectations and company’s objectives in collaborate with executive vision
• Display, arrange, price, and rotate products in store
• Analyze sales figures, customers reactions and market trends to anticipate product needs and plan product ranges/stock
• Maintains quality results by following and enforcing standards
• Maximize customer interest and sales levels by displaying products appropriately
• Monitor stock movement and consider markdowns, promotions, price changes, clear outs when required
• Maintains store shelves by observing displays of company products, removing damaged or freshness-dated products, tidying store shelves, and providing optimum display of products
• Completes call report by observing display and pricing of competitors’ products
• Provides information by reporting growth and expansion
• Implement or execute ad-hoc projects

Qualification and Skills

• Ability to follow written and oral work instructions
• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required
• Ability to work with co-workers
• Candidates must have practical experience working in a fast-paced start-up environment.
• Exceptional organizational and administrative skills
• Good communication skills
• Minimum 1-year experience in specific industry
• Resourcefulness, creativity, ability to improvise and take initiative
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Time management skills and the ability to manage priorities and workflow
